Timber engineering for Australian councils, shires, and rail
Heritage restorations, engineered timber bridges, and fiber-reinforced repairs, designed to Australian codes and signed by RPEQ / CPEng engineers, for owners who’d rather restore than replace.
Few firms here design timber restorations. WRD does.
Few firms in Australia design restorations the way WRD does, with high-strength fiber reinforcement instead of steel, and fewer still design modern engineered timber bridges. That’s the gap WRD fills. Councils and shires sitting on heritage and aging timber structures usually hear “replace it” because their consultant can’t engineer a timber repair. WRD designs the restoration, reuses what’s sound, and delivers a structure that meets AS 5100 while keeping the heritage and the budget intact.
