It’s in working buildings: thousands of timber industrial buildings, hangars, gymnasiums, and warehouses built 50 to 80 years ago from glue-laminated beams that were never designed for today’s loads, and many are now cracking or under-rated. A general contractor or non-specialist engineer sees the damage and quotes a teardown. WRD sees a structure that a proper diagnosis usually proves is sound or fully restorable.
