The USA Problem

Most of America's timber isn't in covered bridges

It’s in working buildings: thousands of timber industrial buildings, hangars, gymnasiums, and warehouses built 50 to 80 years ago from glue-laminated beams that were never designed for today’s loads, and many are now cracking or under-rated. A general contractor or non-specialist engineer sees the damage and quotes a teardown. WRD sees a structure that a proper diagnosis usually proves is sound or fully restorable. We separate real structural failure from surface decay with EPHOD® non-destructive testing, then give you a defensible verdict you can put in front of a school board, a county commission, or a federal reviewer.

IAS ISO 17020 (inspection) / ISO 17025 (testing) accreditation; ALSC-approved lab. Delivery runs the way US agencies buy, Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build.
