The staff from WRD has developed a testing protocol based on ASTM D4761 to determine the bending strength (MOR) and bending stiffness (EI) of FiRP^® Reinforced guardrail posts. 

The reinforcement used was an Aramid Reinforced Plastic (ARP) 0.02" thick (0.5 mm).

The specimens were tested under static and quasi-dynamic loading.

The moisture content and specific gravity was recorded according to ASTM D 1037.
