Static Bending Test of LVL Box Posts |

The state of California proposed in 2000 criteria for the shear test quality control of box posts.
The staff from WRD collaborated with the engineers at CALTRANS to update these criteria for testing LVL box posts. Static bending test of full-size LVL box posts were conducted in our laboratory to determine the shear capacity of the elements.
Two box post cross-sections were tested:
