The 34.50-meter long main roof beams are continuous over one intermediate post at 2/3 of the span. The maximum cross-section of the 6 reinforced beams is 160 mm x 732 mm. FiRP® Reinforcement is used to carry the negative moments. Two layers of FARP (Fiberglass-Aramid Reinforced Plastic) are used and the maximum length of reinforcement is 6.7 meters.
The FiRP® Glulam beams were fabricated by ZÖLLIG AG in Arbon, a member of the HÄRING Group, Pratteln, Switzerland. The structure was erected in August 2000.
